Due to continued new business success we are seeking an ambitious recently qualified consulting pensions actuary with good technical & interpersonal skills to join the vibrant fast-growing team in our Basingstoke office.

You should already have a Scheme Actuary certificate or be in a position to satisfy the criteria and obtain one within the next 12 months.

In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients including your own Scheme Actuary appointments as well as providing actuarial and consultancy support to the Partners.

This varied role will see you involved in a wide range of actuarial and consulting tasks covering all aspects of pension scheme issues, including:

• Detailed involvement in all stages of triennial valuations, funding updates, company accounting work and other actuarial projects;
• Participating in work related to other legislative requirements and general pensions consultancy;
• Providing direct support to the Partners in the provision of advice to assigned clients; and
• Day to day management of relationships with trustees and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record gained within the pensions actuarial consultancy industry.

Previous client management, project management and presentation experience would be a distinct advantage.

We are seeking an ambitious part qualified Pensions Actuary with good technical & interpersonal skills to join the vibrant fast-growing team in our Basingstoke office.

You will be developing strong technical and analytical skills, and be comfortable working in a team environment dealing with a variety of UK defined benefit pension clients.

Your role will include carrying out actuarial calculations including individual calculations, triennial valuation liability calculations, annual updates and pension accounting disclosures and other bespoke work as well as providing general actuarial support to more senior part qualified and newly qualified actuarial staff.

The salary will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications, and the role has the potential to involve early client-facing consulting opportunities for the right candidate.

You must be a current member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and have sat and passed the majority of the CT actuarial examinations.

Experience of using Superval would be helpful but not essential.

We are looking for an experienced pensions administrator with at least 5 years defined benefit experience to provide full administrative support for a number of different pension schemes. You will be involved in all aspects of administration including calculating and processing members’ benefits, answering pension queries, liaising with client contacts, checking the work of colleagues within the team when required and providing support for the administration manager.

Experience of the Compendia administration system would be advantageous but is not essential, as would experience of pensioner payroll and/or administering defined contribution schemes.

As a result of continued success we are looking to strengthen our Peterborough team by recruiting a full time pensions payroll administrator.

You will be dealing with a number of different pensioner payrolls for our portfolio of clients. To be considered for this position it is essential that you have previous pensions payroll experience and are used to dealing with large payrolls. Duties will also include year end processing.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate advanced excel skills, strong attention to detail, be able to follow processes and have the ability to deliver under pressure. In this role you will need to be able to work flexible hours in order to meet rigid deadlines.
