We work with several Building Societies and have provided help and advice around their capital requirements for both Pillar 1 and Pillar 2. Typically the work we have carried out has related to a Society’s pension scheme or equity release book. However, we are happy to help with modelling any product or instrument.

Examples of areas we have advised on in relation to a Society’s pension scheme are:

• The impact of paying a lump sum contribution on capital requirements.
• Determining a capital efficient scheme recovery plan.
• The impact of changing investment strategy.
• Suitable stressed positions and the results of these.
